"Take the Best Out of It!"

"Cut the volume down, kid!!!", yelled his father from downstairs, when 15-year-old Sammy strummed sounds out of his first electric guitar. "You see, my father isn`t exactly a man who's got ROCK 'N' ROLL tattooed on his forehead", Sammy smiles. "He plays drums in some kind of dance orchestra and didn`t really appreciate it much, when I was practising some heavy metal and hard rock songs in my room.

The only rockers he acknowledges are Elvis and Hurriganes, and that`s about it. But I'll admit that, at the time, my playing really sucked too, so that might have had something to do with it as well!", Sammy laughs. "I live on my own now, so there aren't any problems like that any more."

As far as Sammy's taste of rock 'n' roll music is concerned, he might have a few suprises as well. "I started out with the basics. My first record ever was Metallica's ...And Justice For All. But after that my taste of music got even harder. I mean shit like black -and death metal! I was really into it for a while but luckily I came to my senses and ditched those records!", Sammy says relieved.

"Musically, the turning point in my life was seeing AC/DC live in Stiff Upper Lip tour 2000. I was sold, man! I allready had a few albums by those guys before the gig took place, but at first I didn't think it was heavy enough for me. But seeing them live completely blew me away. The show was so overwhelming, that I almost wet myself!", Sammy laughs. "That was the day I decided to become a rock 'n' roller."

Today Sammy has the whole AC/DC catalogue in his shelf, but of course, has other records too."I've got quite a few rock albums, actually."I've always liked Guns N' Roses a lot. I also have some Hanoi Rocks, Backyard Babies...hmm...Yeah, I've got some Smack ( the band, dumb arse!) and Aerosmith too.", Sammy reveals his collection. "I've got a few heavy metal records left like Pantera, whitch I really do like a lot. And of course, all the albums by Metallica, but those records are almost covered in dust.", Sammy laughs. To play with. All the guys play great individually, but together we can take it to a whole new level. I think it's awesome that besides playing music, we are great friends too. Hata and I have known each other the longest, but outsider couldn`t really tell who went to school with who, you know."

To the readers, Sammy's got a clear message." I just fuckin' love rock 'n' roll! That's the only thing that I really wanna do.

So rock on everybody and take the best out of it!"
