Altti's parents didn't know what the hell
they started when they bought him his first acoustic guitar, the allmighty
Landola. Along with his greatest influences, Iron Maiden and Metallica, Altti
survived his youth by playing guitar with those two bands and tried to behave
as good as possible. Well he didn't know how to behave (and still doesn't) but
somehow he learned something about a thing called Rock' n' Roll.
Then there was the time to form a band and
there were too many guitarists and way too few bassists so Altti took the
chance and was promoted to a bassist. And liking those low frequency notes, he
still likes to hold on with that heavyweight-poor-man's-guitar and is trying to
rock the world without thinking the consequences.
Altti's first “serious” band was a melodic
metal band called Celestial Sorrow. He played drums first but soon the bassist
was needed. After four demos and some gigs the band split up due to lack of
interest. Soon a new band was formed, a metal/hard rock band named Charisma,
which is still active. Altti moved to Turku
in 2004 and was somewhat frustrated because he had no serious band projects
there. But finally in 2007, there were rumours at the town that Strikin' Case
was lookin for a bass player. At first Altti was supposed to join the band as a
session bassist for the “Basement Glory” recordings but things got that way
that he became a fulltime member of the band. And the rest is history, let the
world domination begin!
